PAELLA PARADISE

PAELLA PARADISE
We Brits love to think of our Spanish friends regularly tucking into a large helping of rice, vegetables, et al, paella is in fact a regional recipe of Valencia and not really recognised as a 'traditional' dish elsewhere in Spain.

Yet having said that if you go into any Spanish restaurant in Madrid or Barcelona, or even along the eastern coastline, you're bound to find quasi-paella dishes offered on the menu. Why? Because whilst on holiday us tourists can't get enough of it, that's why. Paella is a staple in many of our holiday diets: it's incredibly filling, you certainly get your money's worth (because of the huge portion sizes) and, above all else, it's delicious.

Holidays are good for your health

Holidays are good for your health
It is easy to smile at the thought of splashing around in the sea and feeling the warm sand of a beautiful beach in between your toes. As you sit in front of your computer, the very notion of a good holiday helps get those endorphins flowing as you drift off; dreaming about your next break away.

But making sure you have a great holiday is much more beneficial than simply escaping your emails and daily life; a summer break is extremely good for your health and well-being, so no more excuses - it's time to book that well needed holiday.

Arranging a regular break for you and your family should be a top priority, even in these more challenging financial times. A relaxing holiday can boost your immune system, lower your blood pressure and improve your memory ...in fact the list is endless.

So what are you waiting for? Pack your swimwear and sunglasses and whisk you and your loved ones off for a break by the sea - and if your boss at work complains, tell them that it is for the good of your health!

Tix, lies and videotape: airports revealed!

No, we’re not talking about aeroplane spotting! (Although, we are particularly passionate about the Boeing 777, but that’s a completely different story which probably shouldn’t have been mentioned.) We’re talking Heathrow, Aberdeen International and Liverpool John Lennon airport. Thought of by some as Olympic hurdles and others as duty free paradise, the airport is common ground for all holidaymakers. Whether you are embarking on cheap holidays to Spain or preparing to soak up some Egyptian sun care of Ra the sun god, it is always useful to have some handy airport reminders. How does your destination change your experience at customs? What are the best ways to entertain the kids at the airport and what are some of the best airport facts out there? Well, as we say in the holiday business, the proof is in the pudding and the pudding is: This.

But what factors make a beach perfect for those long hours of sunbathing many of us enjoy? With many of our cheap holidays, you can bronze yourself on some of Europe’s best sunbathing hot spots. Choice of beach is incredibly important, as each one varies from the other in many different ways.
